Otherwise let the Eternal Fire consume you. EDIT To get up-to-date from everything about this game, like this page: All I want is them to adjust the interaction hitbox so idont have to spin in circles when i want to loot something.
Witcher 2 let you pick items up if you were facing them with the camera, even if Geralt is facing away. Wish they didn't take a step back in this department. You can still do this to some degree. I just confirmed it in-game to be sure, even though I was certain I had done it many times before. It doesn't work if his back is directly to it which makes sense , but you don't need to have Geralt right in front of the object looking at it.
I've never had issues looting things, personally. I'm not sure why you're having such an issue looting things, based on what I've seen anyway. I've been able to loot things I'm not facing as long as they aren't literally behind me. You just have to look at it with the camera. It just closed my game out of no-where, and started downloading the patch. I was in the middle of a transaction with a merchant, and it just closed I can now run the game with everything on ultra,.
Steam can download in the background [you've to set it though]. But I'd say it'd do as you said, in waiting for the game to close. Time to download Afterburner. That sounds like the performance I'm getting same settings except foliage distance on medium.
Sounds like they optimized that setting a lot. Damn now I really want work to be over haha. You could add it to your steam games list so you can use the overlay like a regular steam game. The FPS counter works that way too. Also, with the previous 2 games, I was able to activate them on Steam, even though I got them via GOG [and have them on both libraries], so that might be a thing with this 1?
I have a k and a ti so we have somewhat similar specs. Time to run hairworks on full blast baby yeaaaaaaah. Hey hey hey hey hey mate, I need advice. I have a not OC'd tho with a 4.
What do I do man? I also have a k - what exactly is your OC setting? Mine is still stock, thinking of overclocking it. In any case, check out the site tomshardware and search their forms -- there are plenty of guides on overclocking a k. What do you use to overclock? I have a as well and had a look using Afterburner but it seemed messy. For me it didn't fix any of the crashing issues, which I sadly realized after 10 minutes of playing.
I've not experienced those issues but I'm really scratching my head as to what must be causing them. Yeah, I tried so many things and it just doesn't work. I think most people could solve their problems, but my game just keeps crashing. Turn on vsync in game, disable any adaptive vsync you have through drivers, set max FPS to 60 in game. Fixed all my crashing If that doesn't work it didn't for me , try finding the exe, going to its properties, and setting it to run as administrator by default.
Crashed once yesterday using this fix and I played for 7 hours. I just want to add that I also had 2 crashes where the game music was still ongoing but i had to kill it in task manager. Then last night I tried a few of the suggested fixes and while the game felt better i still had a crash. The only thing in common that the crashes had was the location I was in!.
I remembered that the game had been running fine until I got to the nilfguardian solider that gives you the griffin contract. SO i quickly left the little area after the 3rd crash and my game never crashed once in 2 hours.
Very strange indeed but im now expecting it to crash when i return to that garrisoned area where he is, Not had a single inventory crash once btw. You say turn on Vsync, yet the standard advice seems to be to turn off Vsync. Was that a typo on your part or are you going against the grain? Max FPS to unlimited was needed to fix my problems. Had to use fullscreen as well rather than fullscreen window. Post your entire settings, please. Maybe someone could point something out.
The screen freezes, but the game basically keeps playing. If it happens in a dialog, I can finish it and then the game exits. It happens outside of the dialog too and then it doesn't exit unless I try to save the game. It isn't turning off the frame limit alone that helps If you have the frame limit on, and vsync off, that causes crashes, but having a huge spike in FPS when you open your inventory can cause a crash too. I fixed my inventory freeze by turning off vsync, FPS cap set to unlimited and turned off controller gamepad vibration off.
I feel like every time I was crashing I had those buffs active. Since I stopped picking them up, I haven't crashed once. Not sure if coincidence or not. I had the same problem, tried a combination of those things and played yesterday for 4 hours straight no crashing: Since I unplugged my second monitor and set fps to unlimited I haven't had a single crash with my P boredless. I turned on hardware cursor and turned the FPS to unlimited with v-sync on and I have not inventory crashed since then.
I also finally fixed the surround sound issue as well. The suggestions outlined here also worked for me. No more inventory freezes. Turn off the frame limiter solved this issue for me. At least, I'm fairly sure it did.
The game does have-for me-a very slow memory leak though, and once it approaches 3 GB of use, I have to shut it down and restart it, or the pop-in gets really bad and intrusive. I really hope this is top prio. I'm basicly stuck on my first talent, freezes every time.
Yep, saw galaxy updating the game, was confused then surprised they had put a new patch out so quick. However i want my 60 frames a second back on low, i have no idea why it wont go above that after this patch: I'm using an FX 3. I haven't seen it dip below 30 in gameplay yet i'm in the big zone now Velen now too. I have the same card as you and Im getting about an extra 5fps on average with this update. Thanks guys, its fixed. I restarted pc and put frames to unlimited instead of Shes at now with everything set to high except foliage and hair.
Even hitting 60 in some areas, this card is still strong after all: Sweet, good to hear that. Hopefully I'll get the same type of boost and maybe average fps. I'm actually really pleased with the performance I'm getting out of my x and we don't even have a Witcher 3 driver from AMD yet - should be any day now hope for today! That should help to optimize the game even more for us AMD users, and I'm really hoping they're including crossfire support with a Witcher 3 crossfire profile as I have x2 r9 x in a crossfire setup obviously using only 1 at the moment.
I actually created a manual crossfire profile for the Witcher 3 and tried anything I could, but no go. What I mean is, it actually ran with everything on Ultra hairworks off at a solid fps, but there was texture and shadow flickering like crazy.
Need an official profile. I didnt even know there was no driver for it.

It just closed my game out of no-where, and started downloading the patch. Yeah, I tried so many things and it just doesn't work. I fixed my inventory freeze by turning off vsync, FPS cap set to unlimited and turned off controller gamepad vibration off. So weird, I keep reading people getting constant 60fps on same setup as me. Curious if it's actually fixed. It destroys the image quality IMO. May 21, I love CD Projekt so much.

Mine is still stock, thinking of overclocking it. I was in the middle of a transaction with a merchant, and it just closed Download Now The Witcher 3 Patch 1. I have terrible performance now. They literally write paragraphs for most bullet point and ensure the audience won't overreact.

Since then, no inventory freezes. If it happens in a dialog, I can finish it and then the game exits. Sweet, good to hear that. I was getting fps with my settings on mainly high with a few options turned to medium, with a fairly cheap PC, now I'm getting about Those on PS4 or Xbox One will have to wait a bit more until they can get it. Though my hair seems to occasionally rebel against gravity and fly around my face while I'm standing still. I don't see it in the patch notes, but can anyone confirm if WASD keybindings have been unlocked? In my game dev experience, this might just mean "Oh, this function in cutscenes. So anyone manage to go higher and not get the pop in?
